Support FamilyWise: Donations for Our First Year of Operations

At FamilyWise, we are dedicated to empowering single parents as they navigate separation, divorce, and rebuilding their lives. As we embark on our first year of operations, we need your support to ensure that our programs, services, and resources reach those who need them most. Your donation will directly contribute to the growth and success of FamilyWise and help us provide education, empowerment, and guidance to single parents across the country.

We have created a list of specific items and areas where your donation can make a tangible impact. Think of it like a wedding registry, where you can choose the exact area you'd like to contribute to based on your budget. Whether you choose to fund a workshop, provide resources for our members, or help cover operational costs, you’ll know exactly where your gift is going.

While we are currently awaiting our tax-exempt status, we are still incurring essential startup costs, and your donations are incredibly welcome. Contributions will be processed now, and all donations will receive a receipt invoice for tax purposes. Once our tax-exempt status is approved, we will notify all donors via email.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

Here are the specific areas where your donation can make a difference:

1. Program Development and Workshop Costs - $500 to $5,000

• Funding for the creation and delivery of workshops and educational resources that will empower single parents with tools to rebuild their lives.

• Covers venue costs, guest speakers, facilitators, and materials for in-person and virtual events.

2. Technology and Website Maintenance - $250 to $2,000

• Investment in a user-friendly website that connects single parents with resources and services.

• Upgrades and maintenance to ensure our website is running smoothly and securely for our growing community.

3. Marketing and Outreach - $300 to $2,500

• Funding for digital marketing campaigns, social media promotions, and outreach materials to help us raise awareness about FamilyWise and engage new families in need.

• Includes costs for flyers, advertisements, and website promotion.

4. Administrative and Operational Costs - $100 to $1,000

• Covers the essential costs of running FamilyWise, including office supplies, software subscriptions, and other administrative expenses.

• Helps us keep our organization running efficiently while we grow.

5. Member Resources - $50 to $1,500

• Contributions will go toward purchasing resource materials such as books, educational pamphlets, and toolkits that will help single parents improve their lives and manage their future relationships.

• Includes subsidizing the cost of memberships for families in need of financial assistance.

6. Event and Community Engagement Costs - $250 to $3,000

• Sponsorship of community events, local meet-ups, and support groups designed to connect single parents, share experiences, and build stronger support systems.

• Helps provide food, materials, and space for these impactful gatherings.

How to Donate

Donating is easy! Simply choose the area or item you'd like to contribute to based on your budget, and make a secure donation through one of the following methods:

• Zeffy: Our Zeffy portal allows us to keep 100% of the donation amount! Payments are secure and easy to complete.

• Cash: We accept cash donations for those who prefer to give in person.

• Check or Cashier's Check: You can mail a personal check or cashier’s check made out to FamilyWise.

• Stock Shares or Investments: We accept investments through stock shares or Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD). If you'd like to donate through these options, please contact us for further instructions on how to proceed.

Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps us continue to build the support systems that single parents desperately need. Once you make a donation, you will receive an email receipt for your contribution, which can be used for tax purposes. When our tax-exempt status is approved, you will be notified, and we will update your donation receipt accordingly.
